The Kia Telluride, Sorento, Soul, K5 and Rio all earned spots on the Car and Driver 2021 Editors’ Choice Award list representing standards of excellence. The winning vehicles were selected from more than 400 models tested by the editors.
“At Kia, we are continuously striving toward driver satisfaction, quality and overall value and are honored to have vehicles across the lineup recognized by Car and Driver,” said Sean Yoon, president and CEO of Kia Motors America, Kia Motors North America.
The Sorento and K5 — both all-new for 2021 – join the 10Best list.
The Telluride and Sorento are two of the models manufactured at Kia Motor Manufacturing Georgia. The West Point plant has an annual capacity of 340,000 vehicles and represents a $1.1 billion investment. More than 90% of the vehicles assembled at KMMG are destined for dealerships across America, which accounts for almost 40% of all U.S. Kia sales. In addition to the Telluride and Sorento, the plant also manufacturers the Optima sedan.
