
Kia Corp. sold 241,399 units in July globally, up 8.7% year over year. Outside of Korea, sales rose 10.4% from a year earlier, selling 193,239 units.
Key to the increase was sales of SUVs, including the Sportage and Seltos. The Sportage sold 31,695 units globally, while the Seltos sold 22,117 units.
Year to date, globally, Kia has sold 1,685,506 units compared to 1,386,854 units in 2020, a 21.5% increase.

The 2022 Telluride SUV made its debut in mid-June among a hot selling spree. Sales of the Telluride, as of mid-June, were up 68% over the previous year. The new model maintains its bold style but adds new Kia badging and a redesigned radiator grille. Inside, the Telluride sports a larger 10.25-inch navigation display, fully automatic temperature control and highway driving assist in the LX and S trim models, as well as Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control-Curve on all trim models.
Telluride front-wheel drive models will get 20 miles per gallons in the city, 26 miles per gallon on the highway and 23 miles per gallon combined. The all-wheel drive editions will get 19 miles per gallon in the city, 24 miles per gallon on the highway and 21 miles per gallon combined.
Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, in West Point, makes the Telluride and Sorento SUVs and the Optima and K5 sedans.
