
For a sixth consecutive year, Honda has been chosen as America’s Best Value Brand in Kelley Blue Book’s Brand Image Awards.
The award recognizes manufacturers’ successes in fostering and retaining brand attributes that customers appreciate when considering purchasing a new vehicle.
The Brand Image Awards are based on consumer perception data gathered in the Brand Watch study, which taps into more than 12,000 in-market new-vehicle shoppers annually on KBB.com, factoring in the details that go into a shopper’s purchase decisions.
Honda has been producing automobiles in America for more than 37 years and currently operates 19 major manufacturing facilities in North America, including in Alabama.
The Honda Manufacturing of Alabama facility, in Lincoln, is the auto manufacturer’s largest light truck production facility and the sole manufacturer of the Passport SUV, Odyssey minivan, Pilot SUV, Ridgeline pickup truck and the V-6 engines that power them. The plant, which began production in 2001, has invested more than $2 billion in its Alabama operation. In 2018, it contributed more than $12 billion to Alabama’s economy.
In addition to the vehicles made at the Alabama facility, Honda offers a full line of fuel-efficient vehicles at its more than 1,000 independent U.S. Honda dealerships. The automaker’s lineup includes the Fit, Civic, Insight and Accord passenger cars, along with the HR-V, CR-V, Insight hybrid-electric sedan, Accord Hybrid, CR-V Hybrid and the Clarity series.
