Ford is expanding its 2021 Expedition full-size SUV lineup with the STX Package, which provides even more versatility and spaciousness.
“The Expedition STX is perfect for families who lead an active lifestyle that requires the capability and space of a full-size SUV,” said Devin McParlane, Expedition brand manager.
The SUV comes equipped with a second row 40/20/40 split bench with CenterSlide, allowing the seat to fold flat for ample cargo storage of 104.6 cubic feet. It also features SYNC 3 with enhanced voice recognition communications and entertainment system, an eight-inch touch screen, as well as AppLink, 911 Assist, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
On the outside, the STX Package features a gloss-black five-bar grille and 18-inch Magnetic Metallic-painted cast-aluminum wheels. A heavy-duty trailer tow package, including a 3.73 rear axle, is available with Pro Trailer Backup Assist for a towing capacity up to 9,300 pounds on two-wheel drive models and 9,200 pounds on four-wheel drive models.
Additional standard features include a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine, 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission, non-limited-slip 3.15 rear axle and a 23.2-gallon fuel tank.
Ford makes the Expedition and Expedition EL/Max SUVs at its Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville. It also makes the Super Duty pickup and the Lincoln Navigator and Navigator L SUVs at the plant. At the nearby Louisville Assembly plant, Ford makes the Ford Escape SUV and the Lincoln Corsair.
