The Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association is hosting a virtual information session on the recent legislation that has come out in response to COVID-19.
On April 9, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., participants can ask questions of legal experts from Burr & Forman and Cobbs Allen with regard to the CARES Act, Families First Coronavirus Response Act and COVID-19’s overall impact on the automotive sector.

Discussions will include how organizations and employees can benefit from the CARES Act, what additional healthcare benefits should be offered and how the Families First Coronavirus Response Act will impact the automotive industry.
Panelists for this informative session are:
- Bo Hartsfeld is an executive vice president of employee benefits with Cobbs Allen. He works with employers on their needs for providing benefits while maintaining cost effectiveness.
- Logan Hinkle is head of Burr & Forman’s Employee Benefits Group. His focus is on advising companies on complexities surrounding executive compensation and benefits. He also works with the firm’s labor and employment attorneys and litigators on benefits and plan-related matters.
- Bryance Metheny is chair of Burr & Forman’s Labor and Employment Group. He advises and assists employers in developing employment policies and procedures, including wage and hour issues, wrongful discharge, employment discrimination and labor relations. He has extensive experience in handling cases involving the Family and Medical Leave Act and OSHA violations.
